ChefPodium's verification process is designed to increase trust, but is not a guarantee of employment suitability or professional performance. Verification confirms identity and stated credentials — it does not constitute an endorsement.
Document verification is not criminal background screening. Employers and restaurants hiring via ChefPodium are encouraged to conduct their own independent background, character, and skills assessment prior to any hiring decision.
Verified badges may be revoked at any time if new information indicates the original verification was granted in error, or if a chef's conduct on the platform violates ChefPodium's Community Standards.
ChefPodium reserves the right to decline any verification application without providing reason. Verification fees, where applicable, are non-refundable once the review process has commenced.

By accessing or using ChefPodium ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.
ChefPodium is operated by ChefIheanyi Digital Ltd ("Company", "we", "us"). The Platform is available to individuals aged 18 years and above. Users under 18 may only use the Platform with verifiable parental or guardian consent.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform following any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will make reasonable effort to notify registered users of material changes via email.
When you create a ChefPodium account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are solely responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity occurring under your account.
You must not impersonate any person or entity, misrepresent your culinary credentials, or use another user's account without authorisation. Accounts found to contain false information are subject to immediate suspension without refund.
ChefPodium reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, harm the reputation of the platform, or engage in behaviour detrimental to other users or the culinary community.
Free accounts include a core portfolio and basic directory listing. Pro and Patron plan features are as described on the Pricing page and are subject to change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
All content you upload to ChefPodium — including photos, descriptions, menus, and credentials — remains your intellectual property. By uploading content, you grant ChefPodium a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and promote your content within the Platform and on ChefPodium's marketing materials.
You must not upload content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others, contains defamatory material, promotes illegal activity, or violates the privacy of any individual without their consent.
ChefPodium's platform design, branding, codebase, and editorial content are the exclusive intellectual property of ChefIheanyi Digital Ltd and may not be reproduced or distributed without written permission.
We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
ChefPodium operates as a marketplace platform facilitating connections between culinary professionals and restaurants, private clients, or event organisers. ChefPodium is not a party to any employment, engagement, or service contract formed between users of the Platform.
Restaurants and employers posting jobs agree that all listings are genuine, comply with Nigerian labour law, and that compensation described is accurate. ChefPodium reserves the right to remove any listing deemed misleading, discriminatory, or in violation of applicable law.
Private chef booking enquiries submitted through ChefPodium are routed to the relevant chef or their representative. ChefPodium does not process payments for bookings and is not liable for disputes arising from private engagements arranged through the Platform.
Restaurant partners on the Pro or Patron tier receive priority listing and direct message access to chefs. These features are governed by the Restaurant Partner Agreement, available on request.
ChefPodium provides the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the availability, accuracy, or fitness for purpose of any content or service on the Platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, ChefPodium, its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of income, loss of business opportunity, or reputational damage.
ChefPodium's total liability to any user for any claim arising in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by that user to ChefPodium in the 12 months preceding the claim.
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

When you register on ChefPodium, we collect your name, email address, phone number, culinary credentials, and profile content you choose to share. For verified profiles, we also collect a copy of your government-issued ID during the verification process.
We automatically collect basic usage data including browser type, pages visited, and session duration to improve the platform experience.
Your data is used to: operate your chef profile and make it discoverable; process verification applications; match you with relevant job opportunities; and communicate platform updates. We use Formspree to process form submissions securely. We use Paystack for payment processing — card details are never stored on our servers.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@chefpodium.com.ng. Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days. Note that some data may be retained for legal compliance purposes.
ChefPodium uses only essential cookies required for platform functionality (session management, authentication). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
